Philip passed away unexpectedly on the 9th November 2003. He was diagnosed on the 30th September 2003 has having Peritoneal Mesothelioma, an incurable cancer which is caused by working with asbestos. Philip was very brave and it was sad to see him deteriorate so quickly, he seem to be fit and well up until July 2003, playing golf nearly every day, doing plenty around the home and garden and of course kept up his woodwork; but pains started appearing and eventually the diagnosis was made. I shall miss him, we had been together for 44 years.
Fortunately I have a hobby and am getting more and more involved with photography. I am a member of Exmouth Photo Group which is a very friendly and active club as well as Exeter Camera Club. I enter into different exhibitions, judge and do talks for other clubs. I have done several photographic books with Blurb. More information about me is on my photography site.
I have now got several Photographic Distinctions: ARPS with the Royal Photographic Society for Prints in Professional and Applied and Audio Visuals. Also an MPAGB/AV with the Photographic Association of Great Britian which is for Audio Visuals and EFIAP with FIAP.
The children have been a great comfort and I have plenty of friends who have kept me going. Life has changed.
